I have a Server Domain with mostly all Windows 10 workstations. I have a group policy that redirects the local My Documents folder to a network share. This seems to randomly deactivate. I have the policy applying via a Security Group.
The user shows in the correct security group, and is in the correct OU. Have you made sure you've got Domain Computers in the Delegation Tab? No I only have the security Group I am doing user filtering on in the delegation tab. Do I need to add Domain Computers in? Why are you filtering that way, though? Not always possible of course which is why there are so many other options, but when possible, do it. Its a kind of after the fact thing we started doing, we didn't have the space and didn't have the process buttoned down to how we wanted it to work.
This is the way it worked for what we wanted at the time. Ah, I see. Or, if not, can they easily be placed in one? We need to rebuild the GPO the guy that built it put everything in one object so when we need to change anything we have to filter thru the whole thing to find what we need. Yeah, that may even be part of the issue.
One big GPO having to be processed at boot I would, at the very least, make a new GPO just for the folder redirection. Keep it exactly as is for now, if you want. Just pull it out of that one huge one to see if that helps.
After adding Domain Computers to the filter it popped right away. I will continue to monitor and go from there. We do have some instances where we have service account or other users that are used across all sites that we do not want the my documents pushed across the wan.

There have been quite a few posts from people saying that adding Authenticated Users didn't work properly, but adding Domain Computers did. That's why I've started suggesting Domain Computers. The redirection GPO is separate from the one big one. We are slowly but surely fixing the giant one to make it more manageable. If you think about that, it doesn't make sense. You removed the GPO, but it was set to keep the redirection in place anyway.
